Starting firmware 1.0.7.81, GXP 21XX supports local firmware upgrade. You can easily upload the firmware bin file (gxp21xxfw.bin) through phone's web interface, followed by firmware upgrade.
Step 1
Assuming your phones are connected in the same LAN network with your computer.
Configure your laptop to be SYSLOG Server.

Step 2
Install Wireshark application into your laptop. Select Ethernet interface and click Start.

Step 3
Click to local upload the firmware file you downloaded from firmware.grandstream.com

Step 4
Phone is upgrading the firmware.

Step 5
At the same time, to verify if your phone is running firmware upgrade, key in 'syslog' in the Filter field in Wireshark application to view the real time traces
