Least Cost Routing using Grandstream IP PBX UCM

Writer's picture: tan shi yiingtan shi yiing

Scenario :

There are 2 UCMs peered, 1 in USA and another in Australia.

How do we allow least call routing ?

Here's the configuration based on your example:

AUS PBX

1) Create Outbound Route with USA numbers pattern and select US PBX Peer as Destination

USA PBX

1) Create Inbound Route for AUS PBX Peer Trunk

a) Set Destination as "By DID"

b) You may have to "Strip" some digits based on what's actually being dialed and what's allowed by the SIP Trunk. So for example, if you're dialing from AUS to USA, typically people would dial 0011 1 626 638 9172. You will want to strip the 0011, so create a rule for that.

2) Make sure you have the appropriate outbound route configured with the SIP trunk as the destination
